1. Terms & Conditions of Service
Effective Date: 08 / 08 / 2025
Welcome to Alderwood Mechanical (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By scheduling, purchasing, or using our residential HVAC services, you (“Client” or “Customer”) agree to the following terms:
1. Services Provided
We offer residential HVAC installation, repair, maintenance, and related services as agreed upon at the time of booking. All work will be carried out by licensed and/or certified technicians to applicable codes and safety standards.
2. Estimates & Pricing

Estimates are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

Pricing may change due to unforeseen conditions, additional work requests, or changes in scope.

Any additional work will require client approval and may incur additional charges.
3. Payments

Payment is due in full upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to request deposits for large projects.

Late payments may incur interest charges at 2% per month (24% annually).
4. Client Responsibilities

Provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area.

Ensure all required utilities (electricity, water, gas) are available during service.

Secure any necessary permits unless otherwise agreed.
5. Warranties

Manufacturer warranties apply only as provided by the product manufacturer.

Labor warranty for installation work is 1 year unless otherwise stated in writing.

Warranties do not cover misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or damage caused by others.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

We are not responsible for pre-existing issues, damages caused by third parties, or failures due to factors outside our control (including but not limited to power outages, weather, and natural disasters).

Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service provided.
7. Cancellations

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee.

Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and any disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of Ontario courts.
